So along with her sister Cherie Hudgins, Barlow opened ý. tanning salon in the West Lynde plaza and called it Tanarama. The salon offers six tanning booths, each in a private room, and a babysitting service. Barlow explained it is sometimes diff icuit for a woman to go to a tan- ning salon when she also has to pay a babysitter. So from 9 a.m. to noon, while the parent is in a tan- ning booth, one of the Tanarama employees will look after the child in a room equipped with toys and a television. From now until Oct. 21, the first tan a person receives will be free. Depending on a person's skin, it may take anywhere from four to eight,.30-minute sessions to get a tan, then anywhere from once or twice a week to maintain it.
