In a report to council, he said the system had 32 breakdowns between January and August of 1987. The new system will have six times the storage capacity, will not require expansion for three years and will require no major upgrading for five years. Wallace informed council that the cost for the system has been budgeted and will be taken- from reserve capital funds, not tax- payers' money. Should the Town not be ab le to en- ter into a satisfactory contract with DEC/SRB, Wallace told councillors the Town will not hesitate to enter into negotiations with the second bidcjer on the contract WANG/NISSI.
