She en- joys playing the piano and, takes advanced lessons- fromn the Royal Conservatory of Music. In ber spare time, ber passions run to yachting and downhil skiing, but she stili finds time to help others. MARIANNE JACOBSEN Marianne recently moved to Wbitby from Asbburn and is a Grade 12 student at Anderson Collegiate. Age 17, sbe takes classical guitar lessons tbrough tbe Conservatory of Music and bopes to persue a career teaching music. Marianne admits she does not bave much free timne, but when possible likes to play bier guitar and listen to music. KIM MONAGHAN Kim is 17 years old and is a Grade il student at Denis O'Connor High Scbool. The Pickering resident bopes to pursue a career in photographical arts. She is a mem- ber of student couneil at DO'C and bas played organized softball for the past il years. Wben not engrossed in pbotograpby. or basebail, Kim enjoys a good round of golf. KELLYANN MOUNSTEVEN -Kellyann cails berself a sports nut and is appropriately attending Laurentian Umiversity's physical education course wbicb will prepare ber for a career as a sports psycbologist. She was the trainer for tbe ILaurentian men's varsity basketball-team last year and stili managed to, put in many bours of figure skating as a member of tbe Wbitby I1ce Crystals precision skating team that bas won tbe Canadian cbampionship for tbe past two years. She bopes to attend Carleton University in tbeir criminology course ini the future. Denise is a member of ber scbool's swim team' and plays water polo for a summer league and is a member of a cburch league volleyball team. Apart from working part time for the City of Osbawa as a swimming instructor and lifeguard, she taught physical education to elementary scbool students as part of the scbool co- operative program, was a peer pressure counsellor at O'Neill and works witb troubled kids at East- view Boys and Girls Club. SANDRA PORCO Sandra is 18 years old and lives in Brooklin. She is completing ber Grade 12 at Anderson Collegiate and plans to return to Grade 13 next year before going to university. She Kim Monaghan, Sandra Porco and Kellyann Moun- steven, Standing are: Cathicen Coîbourne, Marianne Jacobsen, Sandra Smith and Denise Ernst. Absent from the photogiiaph is Patricia Van Der Zwet. Sandra works part tîme at Brooklin Library and in ber spare time en- joys modelling and swimming. SUSAN SMITH Susan is a resident of Oshawa and is in Grade 12 at O'Neill Collegiate. The 18-year-old hopes for a career in fashion design. She is a grade representatfive of tbe student coun- cil at O'Neill and as sbe models part time, says she hasn't mucb time to indulge in hobbies. PATRICIA VAN DER ZWET At age 21, Patricia is employed as a cbild care worker and is taking psychology course at Centennial College under tbe continued education program.
