Don Michie, director of the college's Business Division, 'said a general two-year arts and scien- ce course received ap- proval a few weeks ago, and a three-year course in retail management with the emphasis on fashion received ap- proval last week. Approval is expected to arrive soon for two past diploma courses, Michie said, one in in- dustrial marketing, and one in telecom- munications manage- ment. The arts and science program in the Applied Arts division is designed for students who are not yet clear on career choices, Michie said. The program contais a career-planning com- ponent and students may select courses from other divisions, such as Business or Technology. Students will have the opportunity to switch to another program in second year or they may continue and graduate with a diploma in arts and science.
