FIELD NATURALISTS MEETING The Durham Region Field Naturalists will meet Monday, Feb. 24 in the auditorium of *McLaughlin Library, 65 Bagot St. in Oshawa. Everyane is welèome ta attend. 50'S AND 60'S DANCE The fourth annual 50's and 60Os dance with Don Daynard and .Craig Smith, originaily scheduled for Saturday, April 26 has been rescheduled for Satur- day, May 24. The dance will be held at the Iroquois Park Arena. The dance is spon- sored by the Canadian Whitby Ambulance During the week en- ding Feb. 20, Whitby Ambulance responded ta a total of 107 cails for service including 3 emergency 'cais resultlng from ,motor vehicle accidents -in which 3 patients had.to be transported _ta hospital. The service received four emnergency calîs for heart related problems and 'three patients suffering fram stroke. There were 25 patients transportedlor a varity of medical problems and 16 cails of a aon-emergency nature. ASTHMA INFO SERIES The Durham Region Lung Association will be holding a special four session information series on asthma begin- ning Monday, March 17 at the Whitby Public Library. Anyone with an asth- ma sufferer in the faniily will want to at- tend the informative sessions. There will be discussions on the causes. of asthma, medication, proper use of inhalers, allergens in the environment and various coping techniques. SENIORS' TAX CLINIC The Whitby Seniors' Activlty Centre and local accountants are agaîn offering an In- 1came Tax Clinit for seniors on the evenings of March 17, 18 and 19. This service is co- ordinated by Howard Smith of Davidson & Smith, Chartered Ac- cauntants. This is a free service for seniors with an annual incomne ôf $10,000 or less. For those seniors who cannot at- tend on those dates, or whose income exceeds $10,000, the Wbitby Seniors' Tax Committee will be available ta complete returns during the period March 22 ta April 4, weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays. These volunteers have received a course from the federal gavernment refreshing them in the completian of the forins, and also making them aware of any additions or deletions ta the tax regulations for this year.
