PRE-SCHOOL STORIES The Whitby Public Library will be accep- ting registration for its pre-school story hour for children aged 3 to 5 (but not attending school) beginning Sept. 17. This eight week program will be held in two different sessions beginning Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 2 to 3 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 17 from l0oto 11 a.m. The library will also be offering a French language pre-school story hour on Wed- nesdays from Oct. 16 to Dec. 4. This program is designed to introduce children to the 'French language through stories, songs, games and crafts. Children will learn numbers, colors, and simple words and phrases. The fee for this program is $15 and registration will be ac- cepted beginning Sept. 10.
