The programn will be run in for sessions, those being: -fromn July 2 to 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 n oon, -from July 2 to 12 from 1 to 4p.m.; -fromn July 15 to 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon; and, -from July 15 to July 25 fromn 1 to4 p.m. There is no registration fee for this program and each par- ticipant will receive a certificate. The association lias also received an ad- ditional $400,000 in operating grants for the homes from the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services. This will bring their an- nual budget toabout $1.8 milion. MacDonald also said that the operating grants for the homes will be renegotiated every year. The .cirector also noted that while the association bas been asked to assume responsibility for another 14 Durham Cen- tre residents, no cbildren are involved. " We won't be ser- vicing cbildren because we don't have any children's residential facilities,"1she said. MacDonald also believes that the com- munity is coming out in support of the de- institutionalization of residents of Durham Centre.
