PAGE 6, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 28,1984, WHITBY FREE PRESS IM NE dD4)- 1 Mossey's Massey's is a tastefully decorated roadhouse with loads of atmosphere. The restaurant on Liverpool Rd. S. in Pickering is a bright and cheerful place with just the right amount of hub-bub to make it a truly people orientated place. According to the manager Don Argiro, Masseys started off as a family run bar but changed to a restaurant to suit the ever in- creasing customers. Massey's has a simply designed menu that is easy to read but offers such a variety that choice becomes dif- ficuit. Appetizers include five kinds of salad and two kinds of soup. They also have two types 'of garlie bread and an assortmnent of deep fried goodies. A specialty is the 'Deep Fried Veggies' which is an orgy of battered chunks of mushrooms, cheese, zucehini and cauliflower. Argiro says the strength of Massey's is the variety of burgers, ail freshly made and grilled. There is four varities of burgers, even one for diet conscious customers. Massey's other strength is pizza, served piping bot with choice of ail the usual toppings. As a final enticement Massey's serves New York strip sirloin cooked to order. The prices are not outrageous at Massey's infact the steak is the most expensive item. Burgers are in the $3 to $4 range and the rest of the items are under $8. Massey's bas 1wen open for two years and is an expansion of the famlly's burger palace next door. This is an honest restaurant, it provides no entertainment in- stead, concentrating on food. Their efforts have paid off. YO UR NEIGHBO URHOOD MEETING PLACE Have Very Reasonable Prices For Lunch As Well As Dinner Corne and try our pizza, homemade daily with the freshest" ingredien ts.
