Daryl Taylor was also part of the festivities. He won a gold medal at the Olympic Games for the Disabled. According to a police spokesman, the officers noticed two men on bicycles travelling behind-149 Brock St. N. at about 3 a.m. The men were carrying numerous items. Police recovered a number of stolen items including batteries, motorcycle shrouds, and wheels. The owner of the dealership later repor- ted the theft of over $3,000 worth of motor- cycle parts from crated bikes stored at the rear of his store. Charged with two counts of theft of $200, two counts of possession of stolen property over $200 and conspiracy to committ theft are Steven Leon Hicks, 18, of 531 Dorchester Dr., Oshawa and Douglas Robert Parker, 20, of 575 Dorchester Dr., Oshawa. Both were released on bail and will appear in Whitby Provincial court this Friday. According to a spokesman for the Whitby detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, the youth was riding in the back of a pick-up truck that was southbound on Hwy. 12 just north of the Lynde Creek bridge.
