BABYSITTING COURSE The Whitby Public Library will sponsor the annual Red Cross BabySitters' Course for children aged 12 and over. This eight-week cour- se will be held on Tuesday evening froM 7 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Sept. il. Registration for the course will be accepted after Aug. 20 at the children's desk. No registration is needed for this program. - OUTDOOR FUN The Whitby' Public Library wiil hold an outdoor fun day on Aug. 17 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. for children of ail ages. There wiil be finger painting., foot ,printing, outdoor games and giant bubble blowing. No registration, is necessary and ail are welcome. In the event of ramn, the activities wil be held in the library's auditorium. SUMMER FILMS The Whitby Arts Station Gallery wilI con- tinue.- its "Summer Cinema '84" - a series of films for children and adults tomorrow at 3 and 7p.m. In the afternoon, children will be en- thrailed bya visit from Dr. Seuss when films such as -"The Hoober Bloober Highway" and "The Sneetches" are shown. Also screened wii be "Curious George. Goes to the Hospital". In the evenmng, Peter Ustinov stars as Agatha Christie's famous detec- tive, Hercule Poirot, in "Death on the Nile".
