WAYPERS The' Peacock Family Sport Raiders, minor bantam hockey team, have successfully opened, their summer season with an 8 to 6 exhibition victory over the Toronto Marîboros. Primeau re-elected WISC president By ANN GOULDING WISC Dfrector The Whitby Iroquois Swim Club held its an- nual general meeting on May 14 at Whitby Senior Public School and the board' of directors for the 1984/85 season was elected.. The executive con- sists of Peggy Primeau, re-elected as president; Gary Leswick, vice- president; Elinor Kidd, returned as treasurer; and Pat Doran, secretary. Board members Sheena Currie takes over meet management; Mildred Smith as social- con- venor; andý Marg'Mc- Donald in charge of equipment. The positions of member- ship chairman and publicity will be filled by members at large Gerry Armitage, Bob Morrice, and Winston Moore. The new board takes over its duties after a brief initiation period. Corrick,. Reier, Bren- flan, St. Aubin, and Grant. Replying for the Manlies were Power and Choi with two each, while singles came from Taylor and Suchan. The summer hockey season runs from May until July and involves exhibition games and tournaments with teamns from Metro Toronto. The Lakeshore and the United States. Janice Currie, 13, picked up bronze medals in 50 free and 100 fly, silver in 200 back and 200 medley relay with teammates Michelle Primeau, Julie Leswick and Heather Armitage. Eleven-year old Ar- mitage gained gold in 200 back, silver in 50 free, and bronze in 50 f ly. Leswick scored with a silver for 50 free, and. bronze in 200 back. Both girls collected another gold ifi 200 medley relay along with Anne-Marie Scott and Wendy Primeau. Boys events saw Stewart Smith, 12, win silver in 100 breast and senior Dave Goulding earned bronze in 100 fly. Goulding won a fourth and two sixths in ad- ditional events. Ribbon winners for 12 and under events were Anne-Marie Scott, Wen- dy Primeau, Patti Me- Donald, Charissa Morrice, Tricia Carrol, and Alison Bettridge. The Whitby Club wîll be hosting the Optiniist Invitational sponsored by the Whitby Optimist Club in early June and are expecting a con- tingent of swimimers from Wakefield, England on May 25.
