Free Press Staff Photo Alumae preparing for May Day ByCHIARLOITTE GENTLES The Alumnae Council of the Trafalgar Castie Sehool (Ontario ladies' College) met in the Commfon Room of the Sehool, Reynolds Street, Whitby, to plan for the forthcoming loth An- miversary of the schooL Alumnae Chapter delegates came from Belleville, Toronto, Mississauga, Brooklin, and the Whitby-Oshawa area. The council's president,' Marilyn Broughton, of Brooklmn, IIl I chaired the meeting, and 1welcomed representatives from the Trafalgar Castie School Ladies' Auxiliary, who presen- ted some ideas to the coundil. President Nancy Goss of -the Trafalgar Chap- ter, Toronto, reported on the chapter's ac- tivities. She indicated that there are several events coming Up in May. One of the more important dates is May Day. This year May Day is Saturday, May 12, with the May Queen cermonies beginning at 1 p.m. and during the af- ternoon Lt. Gev. John Black Aird wil be guest at the sehool. He will be turning the sod for the new wing which is to be added to the eat aide of the aschool, in the present parking lot area. The Castie Chapter, the parent chapter 0f the Alumnae, report was presented by *President Doris Collins, of Whitby. She reported that during the year the * SCUGOG CHRYSLER LTD. The Annual Night of Cards fund raising, project was a succes last October, and as a' resuit the Castie Chap- ter donated $500 to the school's building fund for the new wing which is expected to ready for occupancy later in the year. The Aiumnae council executive congratulated the Castie Chapter for their good work. The Castle Chapter will be meeting at 7 p.m.ý Tuesday, April 10, at the sehool, Reynolds Street, Whitby. The chapter members will be guests of the drama class who will be presenting a dress rehearsal of "today's World."
