Skipton Investments Ltd. are in the process of planning a subdivision on part of Lot 21, concession 3, just north of Rossland Road and east of Anderson Street. The original plan called for 26 lots with 40' frontages and 48 lots with 50' frontages. However, when the developer was asked to in- crease the size of lots, he was delighted to change the plan to 50' frontages or better. Seems homes are more saleable if lots are larger or according to town zoning by-laws. One wonders if our planning depar- tment will ever abide by town zoming regulations, or if they will continue to endorse small lots for single family dwellings? If a sign bylaw with new regulations la endorsed by the Town of Whitby, will it be followed to the let- ter, or will it be used as a guideline the same as the restricted zoning bylaws? CAPERS BALL The next Capers Bail will be held at the Masonie Hall on Saturday, April 28 from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Normally the spring dance is held in Feb., but this year it was decided to wait until April so our skiing crowd could attend. Thnak you for your phone caîls concerning the dance,.but it is April 28. Keep the date in mind.
