First of ailthe Hawks seemed to hold a whammy over the Raiders, winning the eup for the past seven years. The Hawks went into the game un- defeated, locked in a fir- st place tie with Pickering High School. Anderson had won .only one of three matches. The Cinderella story was not ta be. Henry completely dominated and won the game 26-O. The tone of the game was set early, even before the apening whistle. At a pep raliy in the, morning at Henry's gymnasium, a student appeared attired in the Anderson colors. He was ceremoniously stripped of his clothes, right down to his, . gasp, undershorts by members -of the Henry football squad. The spirit flowed from -the team members right through the student body. It was not the oniy stripping the Hawks would do. They effec- tively stripped Ander- son of their running at- tack, forcing the Raiders ta pull ail the tricks out of the hat. Henry seemed ta iack that killer extinct and could oniy record touchdowns by Tam Clarke and Brian Yorke with Andy Brannigan adding a convert. 1Brannigan added a touchdawn early in the fourth quarter but his convert attempt neyer got off the ground. <Anderson cantinued ta, run the bail at the tough Henry defence but were continually stopped. Af ter foiling Anderson on a fourth down gam- bie, Henry took possession and tm- mediateiy tried a fittie razzie dazzle of their own with Brian Yorke scampering for 25 yards ta the five-yard lime on an end reverse.
