Lacrosse Association is sponsor- ing a. pre-season la- crosse school for boys and girls. One of the reasons for the school is the increasing popular- ity of lacrosse, not only across the province but especially in the Whitby area. Parents and kids just can't stop talking about lacrosse and the perienced players from the First City Buiders and Brooklin Redmen teams have offered to teach particular tricks or skills that they use. The association be- lieves that the sehool can attract new players, and raise the skill level of lacrosse in Whitby. It provides new parents and children with the opportunity to be intro- duced to the sport be- fore the season begins. Parents are encouraged to corne and see the ses- sions with their children 50 that the skills taught in the sehool can be re- inforced at home.
