Mr. Maclnnis, a well- known broadcaster, journalist and author in addition to his busy car- eer as a chartered ac- countant, will be speak- ing on "Cleaning Up your act - the Income Tax Act, that is. " His speech has been well re- ceived in several parts of the province already. A senior partner with Touche Ross & Co., Toronto, Mr. MacInnis was elected to the Presi- dency of the Institute in June -of last year, cap- ping an active volunteer role with the Institute spanning 17 years. Pat & Mario' s have- most successful week of the season By MERV EVERALL Brooklin-Whitby Pat & Mario's Major Pee- wee' s rounded out their most successful week of the hockey season by picking up seven out of eight points. The Brooklin-Whitby team defeated Markham 3-2, tied Oshawa 4-4, slam- med Kingston Township 9-2 and then blasted Thornhill Thunderbirds 8-4 in a Sunday after- noon game at Thornhill. The team is on a roll as it approaches the round robin play-offs which begin in the fîrst week in February. In the Markham en- counter, goals were scored by David Clarke, Steve Everail and Mike Reler in a very close contest. The 4-4 tie with Oshawa was played at Children's Arena, with Scott Luik scoring twice, Troy McKay and Mike Reier once each for Pat and Mario's. In the weekend games, the Brooklin- Whitby team unleashed a devastating attack by scoring 17 goals while allowing only six. Leading the way against Kingston Township were Scott Luik with four points on three goals and an assist, and Steve Everail with one goal and three assists. Single goals went to Justin Moore, Jaan Juik, Mike Watters, Danny Pratt and Mike Reier. At Thornhill, Mike Reier got the hat trick and picked Up two assists for a total of five points.
