Vasey and teammates Clayton Mackay (vice), Doug Freemnan (second) and <John Flegg (lead) took home, $7,WOO for the win. Vasey's rink was un-' defeatecl in six games that led to the final. The. final event looked promising for Sharpies and teammrates Larry Dare, John Brotherhood and Ken Kozlik, who took a 2-0 lead early in the game. But Vasey 's rink came back to tie it at 2-2 in the fourth end wth. a draw shot by Vasey. <Vasey took single points in the fifth -and sixth ends, and Sharpies countered wlth a single In, the- seventh leaving the scorezat 4-3.
