On the block will be numerous antiques in- cluding an Edwardian period wall dock and hand carved chairs. Local merchants have donated such things as an overnight stay in a Toronto hotel, a meat basket, a dinner for two and a cheese basket. LAMAZE The Durham Region Lamaze Association is sponsoring a public evening in the Durham College Theatre, Simcoe Street North in Oshawa on September 24 at 7:30 p.m. Guest speakers Dr. I. LANDSCAPE WORKSHOP The Whitby Arts Sta- tion Gallery will sponsor a workshop in landscape drawing on September 25 and 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Taught by Diane Pugen, the workshop wll centre on the proce- dures and techniques of landscape drawing. FASHION SHOW The Ladies' Auxiliary of the Dr. J.O. Ruddy General Hospital will be holding their fall fashion show on September 22 and 23 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the Whit- by Public Library. Fashions are being presented by the Brook- lin Village Shoppe. Tickets are $2.50 and include refreshments and door prizes. COURSE The Christopher Leadership Course will hold a new 10-week ses- sion beginning Septem- ber 27 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at Anderson Colle- giate, 400 Anderson Street. The course is designed to promote and instill self-confidence and creativity. It is open to anyone over the age of 16. Classes are limited to 25 persons. The fees are students $40; adults $60; and,. couples $80. The Christopher Leadership Course is a non-profit organization.
