BROOKL IN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION In 1978 a group of local business people joined together to form the Brooklin Business Association.« Since that. time, it has grown considerably and is now a chartered organization. The B.B.A. has contributed money to local schools, sponsored creative activities, held com- mumity dances, entered floats in the Brooklin Spring Fair Parade, held sidewalk sales, Christmas win- dow competitions, and sponsored "Carols in the Park." They are in continuing contact with the Planning Department 0f the Town of Whitby and the planners of the proposed development in order to maintain, strengthen and improve the downtown core, 80 that the needs of the community can be met. Due to the increase in the number of small businesses in the ares and the number of inquiries made, a general meeting of the B.B.A. will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Concept Centre, corner 0f Baldwin and Roebuck.
