One recent ex- tursion of this sort was the concert band jour- ney to Kanata, Ontario. Members of the band were billeted in homes in the hosting commu- nity and they performed for a student audience as well as the general public. In addition, tours to the parliament buildings, the national library and other places in Canada's capital kept the ACVI troupe busy. The band now looks for- ward to the Music Night '82 concert which will wrap up their challeng- ing and satisfying year. Although thoughts of wrapping up the school year and thoughts of beginning the summer are most definitely on the minds of many stu- dents, a few Anderson- iîans are thinking of the 1982-83 school year. This minority is, of course, the Student Council Executive electoral candidates. In spite of the scarcity of candi- dates, those running for office are trying hard to create excitement and interest in the student government election which will take place on May 26. Only two days follow- ing the election, the An- derson Senior Prom will be in full swing. For the price of $35 a couple, students can reminisce about the almost com- pleted school year while they enjoy a dinner, dance, and buffet. One of Anderson's favourite D.J.s will be providing the music so the evening should be a veritable success and a gala cele- bration of a fine year!!1! He ran the 100-metre hurdles in 13.9 seconds and the 400-metre hurdles in 101.7 seconds. The number of golf enthusiasts at DO'C is surprising, and the tournament should be a lot of fun.» Toronto Youth Corps has invited Mother Teresa to speak on "'Jesus and Global Peace" for their Event 17. It will be held on June 27 at Varsity Stadium from 3 to 6 p.m. Event 17 will be an opportumity to reflect on the message of Jesus regarding global peace. Last Wednesday was Music Day.
