M4y steak, the' New York sirloin, smothered in mushrooms, was a delight; juicy, -tender and'done to my'taste. This dinfing spot also does a very nice breakfast business, and Jobn feels for what he gives, tbe prices are as good as any in the area. John is very selective in bis purchasing of, meat. He prefers to buy binds and quarters and cuts bis own roasts and steaks. He feels tbis allows him to serve bet- ter cuts to bis customers and to give tbem better quality. The Family House Dining Lounge is'open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Darlene and Shir- ley work with John's wife in serving custom- ers, and ail are pleasant and try very bard, to ,please. This was our first visit to the Family House Dining Lounge since it came under new owner- ship. We were treated very nicely and made to feel it was the type of restaurant we- would like to visit again in the very near future. Sigers on the stage Tbe County Town Singers will be perform- ing their musical magic in a, special Variety Show at Eastdale Colle- giate on Sunda'y, January 24 from 2 p.m. Staged to belp raise funds for the Christmas Seal Campaign, the two-hour .show, wilI also feature the Osha*a PieBand, Odessa Ukrainian Dancers, Toronto Accolades and Oshawa Barbershopp- ers.
