Harvey called the day historic and stressed the vast benefits te the public in terms cf improved ser- vice from this system. The system involves two distinct parts. Tbe first part is the produc- tion cf a computer type- set M.L.S. catalogue. This catalogue which is distributed te every member cf tbe Real Estate Board contains a cemplete, record cf al properties listed for sale on the M.L.S. system in the board's jurisdiction. It aise lists ail proper- ties sold in the last six months. The second part of the Real-Trieve System is the use cf computer terminals in broker's of- f ices. By making a phone connection witb the board office, real estate agents can tbrough this terminal gain access te all M.L.S. information in the board. The terminal hock-up is voluntary and already 47 of the board's 93 offices have opted for terminals. The addition of ter- minal heok-up gives cer- tain real advantages te real estate offices. First and foremost, this sys- tem is virtually instan- taneous. Tbree seconds after a listing fias been entered into the com- puter by employees at the board office, it is available te ail agents. (This contrast witb the old system of publishing listings in a catalogue, in which any listing cculd be as long as two weeks in becoming available te agents.) )ME BAKERY TESSAN NIN ST. 655-4951 &YSSPECIAL GIFTTOYOU COUPON -AIN OR SLICED F (REG. 80-) HIlLE OuANTITIES LAST.
