Approval was voted for a special committee report, regarding in- creased monetary awards for both major scholarships and speciai festival sections. This decision wil be effect- ive for the coming festi- val. The new syllabus has been distributed to al music stores in the area and a copy may aiso be obtained from Marie Disney, Secretary at 579-9061. The syllabus conveys to ahl prospective en- trants that the deadline for registration is January 31, 1982, and there will be no exîten- sion of that time for en- tries. Three new sections have been added this year - Harp - Ifighland Bagpipe and a speciai section to encourage participation of the handîcapped.
