Mr. Skinner has started a hoser-ball tournament, eh. And all you Henry Street hosers are welcome to join, eh. So, if you like broom- ball, then, you should sign up for the hoser ball tournament. And if you don't like the sport, join anyway. So, if you do not sign up then you will be an ex-hoser and you should just take off, eh! Now back to reality! Henry Street's choir and band have had their work cut out for them lately. On December 11 both groups headed over to Fairview Lodge to perform for their elders. Then on December 15 the band and choir were again on their way, but this time to the Belmont House in rToronto to per- form. They have been doing a good job and will probably continue to do so. Recently the teachers and our principals have had problems concern- ing the smoking area at the back of the school. Smokers are reminded that the area for smok- tur.", OFFICE FURNITURE WAREHOUSE-FULL UN AJAX ing is below the steps, not on them, and it is also asked that you do not drag any garbage into the school. If these rules are not followed the smoking area could be a thing of the past. Every Saturday morning a bus leaves for Kirby from the school. For only $2.75 you can find yourself skiing until late in the aftérnoon. It is a great way to spend a day off school. Speaking of snow, the Trotter's club and the Anglers Club are plann- ing winter trips for all those interested. If not enough people respond the trips will have to be cancelled. Horray for Christmas holidays! The height of the season's excitement has finally reached us. Our Christmas formal, held last Wednesday, December 16, was a success with many well- dressed "socialites". The infamous mistletoe ap- peared to surprise many. The Heydenshore Pavi- lion, which was the location for this event, was deco- rated beautifully. Now on to more serious things. The DO'C chess club participated in a chess tournament with O'Neill and came out with 3 points to O'Neill's 7. Our junior boys' basketball team, however, achieved victory against Cartwright H.S. of Blackstock with a score of 42 to 34. Hopefully they will do as well in their upcoming game against Clarke H.S. in New- castle. Our yearbook staff has been busy like Santa's elves making final adjustments on the first three in- stallments for thepublishers. More information on the yearbook will appear as the other two install- ments are prepared. This is the last article to be submitted by DO'C un- til the new year, so I would like to wish the readers Happy Holidays from DO'C. » THECORPORATIONOF THE TOWN OF WHITBY WHITBY TRANSIT THE WHITBY TRANSIT SYSTEM WILL NOT BE IN OPERATION ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 25TH, 1981 AND FRIDAY, JANUARY 1, 1981 BECAUSE OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON.
