When we arrlved as Nlck's gues Saturday evening, we had diffi- Culty flnding a spot in the large parking lot, and wben we got inside every table was filled, and we bad to wait for a few minutes. This meant that ap- proxiznately 150 people were dining at the Magie Car when we arrived. un thing we especially enjoyred was the salad bar where evSehng was fresh and crisp and variety enough to please every taste. You also have the choice of bread and cheeses and soup of the day included in the, prioe of your meal. The Magie Car does a brisk Sunday business when a magician is on hand to entertain 'the cbildren. It is obvious too that a lot of people celebrate birthdays bers. At least six times we saw a group Of waitresses carrYing a cake to a table, candles lit, and singing Happy Birthday. At the moment The Magie Car is audition- ing for a pianist for the bar; preferably a female and would like to find someone locally if possible. We thoroughly en- joyed our meal at The Magie Car and would recommend it to anyone as one of the better dining spots in Durham.
