The time limit on this event is eight seconds, but although this is considered by some to be very hard on the horses, many preventative measures are taken to ensure their safety. A rigging, or leather sursingle that goes over the withers, must have a one inch thick hair pad, that, in order to protect the horses back, ex- tends 2 inches beyond the back of the rigging. The cinches, by rule, must be at least 5 inches wide and fashioned from mohair. The horses are further protec- ted by sheepskin covered flank strapsand as in other rodeo events, duli rowels are used on the spurs. This prevents any shoulder or neck injury to the horse. /T~ ,4 ~</~VO t/P CUSTOM MADEI Vertical Louvre Blinds *Any window in your home Prices!or office for beauty and privacy. e Patio doors. *Compete ight and view control. *Fromr Contemporary through Traditional to Country Casual. *Dozenis of decorator colors and textures.
