The Whitby Jaycees have announced that they have extended the deadiine for their design contest untilSeptember 30 because of the recen- tly-ended postal strike. The contest is being held to design the front cover of their Whitby, Ajax and Pickering Community Service Directory that will be published later this year. The winner of the con- test wil receive a $100 Canada Savings Bond. Ail entries must be finished artwork and not larger than 14 inches wide and 18 inches long. The design must be original and relevant to each of Uic three com- munities involved. Persons of any age living in Whitby, Ajax or Pickering and adjacent rural areas are eligible.
