Last Saturday the father and son teamn, Barry and Hayward Morse, took their final curtain caîl after playxng since May 5 in Sleuth, the comedy thriller at the Variety Theatre in Toronto. The senior Mr. Morse has long been established as one of Canada's foremost ac- tors, both on stage, television and movies. He is also a well-known face on a TV commer- cial for an express card company. Hayward Morse, the son, got his theatrical training in England, one of the best acting schools of the art in the world. He also has played in television and movies, as well as live theatres. The Variety Theatre has enjoyed full houses night after night since the Morse team opened early last month. The play has been described by those who saw it as excellent, wonderful, superb and thoroughly enjoyable. The Sleuth, a comedy thriller, was written by Anthony Shaffer, direc-' ted by Victor Lucas, and produced by Michael Ayoub and Larry Dykun. Clives Barne of the New York Times described it as the best thriller he had ever seen. Dinner theatre is something new in this country and because of the success of it, is springing up ail over Toronto. People. enjoy the fact that they can sit a 'nd have cinner, then be entertained right at their table. The Variety Dinner Theatre offers a menu that will appeal to every taste.
