Ruddy Hospital Auxiliary are holding their Blossom Ball at the Heyden- shore Pavilion on Saturday, May 2. The deluxe bus leaves Iroquois Park Complex at 7:30 a.m. The $15 fee in- cludes bus transportation, to the market, specialty shops in Elora, a tour of the famous Gorge Mill plus a superb smorgasbord lunch at Bingeman Park. HELP WANTED The Whitby Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting ap- plications for student help to work in the canteens at Iroquois Park and Brooklin Memorial Arenas. Hours will vary Monday through Sunday. Application forms are available at the pool, Mon- day through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ART AUCTION Plans are now under way by Piyah Chapter of Hadassah-Wizo (Oshawa) for its fifth major art auc- tion. Many well known regional artists who contributed previously are expected to participate again. Some of the media which will be displayed are water colors, oil paintings, photography, weaving, sculpture, pottery, silk screen and batik. The art auction is to be held on Sunday, May 3, 1981, at the Holiday Inn, Oshawa. The preview will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the auc- tion beginning at 8 p.rm.- GARAGESALE The Brooklin United Church will be holding a garage sale in the CE Building on May 9 beginning at 11 a.m. Tables at the sale are available for rent. WEAVERSSHOW AND SALE On April 23, the Shuttlebug Weavers Guild (Pickering) will hold a show featuring handwoven blankets, table cloths and traditional coverlets at the Greenwood Community Centre, Green- wood between 2 and 5 p.m. and7to9p.m. DANCE The Whitby Ambulance Service will hold a dance at the Masonic Temple on May 30 beginning at 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 a couple and include a buffet. TEA AND SHOW The Pine Ridge Rug Hooking Guild will hold their annual tea and show at St. Mark's Church House, Byron Street on April 25 between 1 and 4:30 p.m. There will be a display of rugs and wall hangings hooked by members of the club .and will feature techniques ranging from Oriental to primitive.
