April 8 the life of Mary Kingsley will be featured. The conquests of Fran- cisco Pizarro will be viewed on April 15. At that meeting the club donated $50 to the Whitby Youth Bowling Council Bowl-A-Thon, the proceeds of which go to the Christopher Robin Home. A further donation of $50 was made by the Lioness Club to the Whitby Girl Guides and Pathfinders ex- change program to assist local guides to go on an ex- change to western Canada. The Whitby Lioness Club recently escorted Sun- nyerest Nursing Home residents to a senior citizens appreciation day sponsored by the Richvale Lions Club. The next regular meeting of the Whitby Lioness Club will be held on Wednesday, April 8, at the board room of the Centennial Building, Centre St. S.
