If the quality is consistant, then you know for sure that it is a good place to eat. The Coach House at 939 Dundas St. W., in Whitby, has earned just such a reputation with this writer. Steaks and Seafood are the specialties of the house, but they have other items you will want to try as well. For a short time the Coach House is featuring a special on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday evenings for the din- ner hour. Tuesday it is New York 8 oz. sirloin at $8.95, regular $10.25. On Wed- nesday it is Surf 'n Turf for $14.95 instead of the usual $16.95. Sunday you can have spare ribs for only $6.95 as compared to the regular $8.50. The Coach House honours all major credit cards and there is ample free parking. They open every day but Monday. Drop in any time, Paul and Jim Pappas and their staff will be more than pleased to see you, and do their best to make you want to come back again and again. What more can one say about a dining place? Paul Pappas and his brother Jim have constantly strived to give their customers satisfaction in every way, and we feel they both have done a good job. I probably should not be the person to cover the dining spots for the paper because I am, in all honesty, anything but a gourmet. On the other hand, I call the shots as I find them, and that if nothing else, leaves the reader thinking I am at least honest. I sure try to be. Other than salmen from a can, until I visited the Coach House, I never touched sea dining tr food. My companion can gobble it up by the bushel. The other night I stayed true to form and had the steak which was tasty, juicy and tender. It was delicious. Joy switched from the seafood and tried the spare ribs. I noticed they were well done and very meaty. She enjoyed every mouthful. When you visit the Coach House, you are made to feel at home right away by the waitress. Each time we have been there we have had that satisfaction that comes with making you feel you are a little special.
