A popular Chinese restaurant in this area is the Great Wall, at 116 Dundas Street West, in Whitby. It's just a few doors west of the four corners an the north side. The Great Wall restaurant opened in November, 1973. A Chineze restaurant under another name had operated at this location for many years. The Great Wall is a family affair, with father Mr. See- Yuen Wang, his wife, Mee- Lan, and two sonds, Ken an Bill. Ken says that business has been impraving over the past year because they had made a sincere effort ta, try and hold prices down ta reasonable level, but he also admits that in doing this it has meant less profit for- them. One of the advantages of a Chinese restaurant is the fact that ail entrees are very popular with those who prefer take-out service, and the Great Wall restaurant keeps twa delivery men going steady on Friday and Saturday nights. They make deliveries in Whitby, to Oshawa, Ajax and Pickering. Many people tao, are regular visitors ta the dining raom because along with the fine food, they enjoy the comnfortable surroun- dings which added together, makes for a pleasant dinner. Take-out dinners can be made up with a variety of dishes for two or up to groups of six persans. Delivery in Whitby is, free if the order is over $8, and out- of-tawn is over $12.
