Placements in the three offices totalled 418 for the month, which compares to a total of 878 placements during November. The majority of clients were registered in clerical and related; sales; service; product fabricating; assem- bling and repairing; con- struction trades; material handling and related. During December, the greatest employment oppor- tunities existed in manufac- turing of transportation, equipment; retail trade; community; business and personal service. In December, there were 66 argreements signed un- der the Canda Manpower Industrial Training Program. As a result, 94 people will benefit from both training and employment in the Region of Durham. At the end of December, SkyLark there were 200 students in the skill courses sponsored by the Canda Employment Centre and 55 people receiving academie upgradîng at Durham College.
