" I tbink there are a lot of young folk to-day wbo are looking for somebody with time, because tbey have many tbings tbey want to talk about.' it is very i mportant to be available, ready to listen to what tbe young members of our family and community bave to say. I remember bearing about two daughters wbo ap- proached tbeir motber with a certain request and she said, "you'd better ask your fatber about tbat.'" The girls hesitated; then one of tbem said, "you ask him Mumnmie, we don't know Daddy very well." It is flot really very sur- prising tbat when children grow older, they often have littie to tell their parents, for when they were younger, the parents had littie time tô listen to tbem. Time must be made to listeni to our children, and to other people too. Tbere are many, many alone people in society to-day. Just visit one or two of them and you will soon know bow eager tbey are to relate to another human being. They will talk, ask questions, entbusiastically trying to broaden the horizons of their own tiny world. To listen sincerely and witb interest, is a valuable and much-needed service in our community. One other thing, in tbese days of stress and stain; it would help ail of us if we took time to listen to the voice of God. wben we stop Iistening to Him, the worries of life get the better of us and oui' spiritual natures dies. God speaks through His Church, in the beauty the pages of the Bible, in the counsel of a good friend. Many of our mental and physical troubles would vanisb if we would only relax and listen to tbe voice of God.
