Placed in upper half at the Ontario Federation Championships at Ottawa. Maureen Magrath, Henry Street High School, won the Senior Ladies Singles Championships of Central Ontario in Badminton and placed in the top 10 of the Ontario Federaltion Championships in Thunder Bay. Alumnae edged 12-11 It was a close game recent- .ly at Iroquois Park Arena wl..ýn the Whitby Builders' lacrosse Club edged the Builders' alumnae 12-11 in an exhibition game. The Builders led 4-3 after the first period and 7-6 after the second. AI MacDonald scored what proved to be the winning goal with only two minutes remaining. It gave the Builders a 12-10 lead. Jim Branton narrowed the edge to one with 16 seconds left, but the Builders played out the clock. Ken Colley had four goals and MacDonald and Rusty Wills two each for the Build-. ers. John Parrott, Kevin Branton, Cam Devine and Gil Nieuwendyk added sing- les. Larry Graham fired three goals and Jim Branton and Paul Knibb added a pair for the alumnae. Jim Heard, Bill Down, Neil Atkinson and Ron McCoy added singles. Referees -Gerry Ravary and Mark Brown handed out only three penalties during the game.
