Mayor Gartshore passed the question on to the Public Works Director, Dick Kuwa- hara, who replied that the road construction work is due to start the first week in June. At the present time there is no intention for detours as the work is to be done on a one side basis. (That is, one side of the street will be under const- ruction and the work com- pleted before construction work begins on the opposite side of the street).
