The money will be used to purchase 25,000 Gospels for Kinyarwanda in Rwanda, Africa. The walk-a-thon. and bike- a-thon will begin at Al Saints' Anglican Church and finish at St. Andrew's Pres- byterian Church. The route follows Dundas and Cochrane Streets, Ross- land and Coronation Roads to the Heber Down Conser- vation Area. and back by Cochrane Street with a de- tour to the Emmanuel Reformed Church on Ross- land Road. The first checkpoint is on CnronMinn Rnçad t the 4th Concession, and the second at the Heber Down area. The third is at Emmanuel Reformed Church and the fourth at the Presbyterian Church. The ECHO organization and St. John Ambulance per- sonne] will be in charge along the route. In case of severe weather the walk-a-thon and bike-a- thon will be postponed to Saturday May 12, using the same route. Charles Hawkins, of Dundas Street, Whitby was taken by ambulance to the Dr. Ruddy Hospital. It was found that the youth had suffered a badly bruised hip. Dorothy Wilson of Dundas Street, Whitby drivýer of the car made the turn onto Green Street when she heard a noise and stopped, police said. Constable Murphy the investigatine officer said hy ail indications on the pave- ment and marks on the car the youth had ran into the car and was toppled to the ground as a result of the collision.
