Past-President Bill Sori- chetti is running for Zone Chairman and mernbers of the club are soliciting sup- port for his election at meet- ings of other Lions Clubs in the zone. The Whitby Lions Club has voted to allocate $300 to sponsor a youth group from the United States when they visit Whitby on their way to perform at a Montreal co- nvention. The club has also voted to donate $25 to the District A16 Effective Speaking Contest, and $140 to sponsor two youths in the District Youth Exchange program. The club has also agreed to donate $300 to the Leader Dog Programme as part of its work with the blind.
