SNOWFLAKE BALL The Volunteer Association of the Whitby Psychiatric Hospital presents its third annual fund raising benefit, "The Snowflake Ball", on Saturday February 24, at the Ajax Community Centre. The guest of honour at the event will be The Honourable Pauline McGibbon, Lieu- tenant Governur of Ontario. Tickets are available by calling Mrs. Gerri Flint, of Volunteer Services 668-5881 ext. 323. ART FILMS A number of art films will be shown at the Whitby Arts Station Gallery Feb. 18 star- ting at 2:30 p.m. These include the tech- niques of watercolor painting, a film on the seasons of Canada, and old houses of Ontario. The film on old houses is by Kim Ondaatje, à former artist-in- residence at-the Station. CHILDREN'S FILMS The After Four Film Club meets at 4 p.m. every Wed- nesday in the auditorium of the Whitby Public Library for approximately 40 min- utes. TOP HONORS FOR WHITBY JAYCEE Brian Tatciell, left, was honoured last Thursday by his fellow Whitby Jaycees with the Narding of his senatorship in Jacees International. The achieving of a senatorship is the ghest honour which can be bestowed on a Jaycee anywhere in the worid. Mr. Tatchell is e third Whitby member to have received this honour in the 12 year history of the Whitby ycees and the first awarded sinçe early 1976. Mr. Tatchell has held various executive sitions including«that of President, has served as a regional director, and is the penal ison person for Ontario.
