Ron Hawkins moves to Ajax as deputy fire chief Members of the WhitbY Fire Departmentand town council and staff gathered at the Centennial Building Thursday to pay tribute to Deputy Chief Ron Hawkins, who left Whitby department to become Deputy Fire Chief at Ajax, Monday. Chief Ed Crouch acted as master of ceremonies, as a numnber of presentations were made to Deputy Chief Hawkins.
