The same thing happêned to William Linington of Port Perry as he was northbound on Highway 12 just north of Whitby. Minor damage was done to his car, Police report. Horst Leehmann of R.R. 3 Port Perry was northbound in the Columbus area when a beer bottie thrown from -a passing car struck his car doing minor damage. Lawrence Beam-ish of R.R. 2 Seagi ave was travelling near Columbus when occu- pants of a passing car threw a beer bottle at his car. There was minor damage done to the Beamish car. Allan Coates of Prince Albert and Edward Bridge of Port Perry also had* bottles thrown at their cars by. occupants of passing cars, Police said. A tractor owned by Sun- field Landscaping Company, Thornhill, was parked in a, new subdivision near the intersection of Bradlev and Pringle Drive,--Whitby. During the night some of the tractor parts were taken and damage was done to thie tractor, Police said. The last place one would think of having a purse stolen is in a church, Margaret Webber of 410 Kent street, had gone to St. Mark's United Church to practice some new sacred music selections on the Church organ. She left her purse containing $70 in the choir- room. At the conclu- sion of -the practice session Miss. Webber returned to the Choir Room to discover that her purse had been take'n, Police said. Police also reported a mattress f ire had occured at 2:15 a.rm. on October 24 a t 908 Henry Street. Police said it was caused by carelesS smoking.
