The program is designed for children of al ages who want to make Indian masks. r lI'ILM FETI VAL A free festival of films wil be held throughout the sumnmer at the Whitby Arts Station, with showings at 3 p.m. for children and 7:30 p.m. for aduits. film dates are July 12, 19 and 26, July 31 to Aug. 4 inclusive, and Aug. 9, 16, 23 and 30. ,The first film day, July 12 will feature the Beatles' cartoon film "Yellow Submarine" at 3 p.m. and at 7:30 p. m. there will be "The Private Life of King Henry VIII", and one of the "Little Rascals" short features. A list of the films for the remainder of the summer wilI be published in a future edition of the Free Press. PUPPET SHOWS A Blinky and Doinkel Puppet Show will be held at the Whitby Public Library July 26 at 10: 30 a.m. to teach children aged three to eight about. safety in the home. This show is presented by the Ministry of Consumer and. Corporate Affairs. July. 28 at 2:30 p.m. there will be a travelling puppet show sponsored by the Central Ontario Regional Library System. The plays include "The King's Dinner"' and "The Egg," whlch would appeal ta children aged five to 10. The County Town Carnival Craf t and Hobby Fair will be held from 2 pan. to 9 p.m. Aug. 5 and noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 6 at the municipal building on Rossland Road on the lower floor. Two roorns wiIl be set aside for the fair, one for crafts and one for hobbies. Mrs. Boyce would like ta hear from any artisans who would like to give demon- strations of their work at the hobby and craft fair.
