The only difference between this presentation and the real thing is the airpianes used. The aircraft will be part of the Warbirds Show presented by the Oshawa Radio Control Club. Over 100 Warbirds are expected to participate in the contest or t ake part in the special Airshow. The Airshow, slated for Sunday at' 1 p.m., will demonstrate the various air- craft, and the show team will put on a special aerial ballet and simulated 'air/ground battle with machine guns, bombs and anti-aircraft guns. The bad guy will go down in flames and the hero will victory roll over the dv-ned pilot. The show is a flying lawnrnower which always thrills the crowds. Every type of warplane, from the Sopwith Camel to the Spitfire to the Sabre Jet will appear and do its thing. Camp "X" is the home of the spy training sehool made famous by the bood, "A Man Called Intrepid". Ian Fleming was onelo0f the many Who trained at Camp "X". The Oshawa Radio Control Club, with its War- birds display, will be part of the planned Camp "X" project. 1Saturday,- June 24, starting at 9 a.m., will be the day for display and judging, while -Sunday, 25, will be the Aîrshow Day, starting at il a.m. Admission is free and there is plenty of free park- ing. The annual bike rodeo is the highlight of Optimist Bike Safety Week, which began with local school children, entering a poster contest on bike safety. Museum opens June 24 The executive meeting of the Whitby Historîcal Society was held in the Fairview Lodge Auditorium on June 13 with the President Miss Margaret Kennedy presiding. Final plans were made for the official opening for the summer of the Lynde House Museum on June 24 at 2:30 p.m. The Strawberry Festival in -iid of the Lynde House will be held the same day.
