Brudesmaids were-Gail Miller of Lavai West, Quebec, cousin of the. bride and Susan Barreli *of Oshawa, sister of the groom. Jennie Chircop of Oshawa, neice of the groom was flower girl. Lloyd Fortt of Oshawa was best man, and ushers were Leslie Barreil, brother of the groom and Wade Goodrich, both of Oshawa. The reception was held at Fantasyland Park hall, Brooklin. The couple is honeymoon- ig in North Ontario. Miss Stannett, prior to her marriage was entertained ai a number of showers. Wanda Baiko, Diane Har- rison and Helen Taborski, co-workers from the OHIP keytape office arranged a miscellaneous shower. A neighbourhood miscel- laneous shower was given by Shelley Moore the maid of honor, Mr. Vernon Moore and Mrs. Bey Van Doleweerd at the Van Doleweerd residence. A miscellaneous shower was held by Mrs. Jane Anne Short at the home of her mother, Mrs. Alvin Fraser. A pantry box was also presented. The project bas been held up for three months, but Iast week Steve Agh, an adjacent landowner removed his objection, clearing the way for the projeci to begin. Another objector withdrew bis objection a month ago. Gary Kent, president -of the Durham Region Develop- ment Foundation, said Mr. Agh's objection was "frivol- ous," and cost the develop- ers $50,000 due to the delay. Mr. Agh, of Agfa Invest- ments Ltd., had said the co-op housing would affect the sale- of single family homes on adjacent property. The Ontario Municipal Board stiil has to give its approval for the !4 million co-perative housing project but since a public hearing is no longer required, the. de- velopers expeet to receive approval shortly. Also required is confirma- tion of financing by Central Morigage and Housing Corp.
