,Whitby Curling Club activities VICIORIA AND GRESY MIXED BONSPIEL The annual Victoria and Grey mixed bonspiel was won this year by Charlie Fisher's rink as they edged out the rink of Mac Binning. Both rinks won three gaines on Sat. Charlie Fisher had June Werry as vice, anid Dianne and Errol MacKenzie as his front end. The town started a program in softball in 1974. in. 1975 the Whitby Girls Athletic Assoc. was foried to assist the town with the softball prograni. Since then the W. G. A. A. has grow-n to where it currently runs 4 town -representa tive. 'teams and 20 house league teams. This program provideg the best equipment and facilities possible in the1 town of Whitby. Girls ages 7 through 18, have an excellent oppor- tunity to participate in a great teani sport and zîso to visit other-towns and cities.1 In 1977 a Whitby girl was s chosen Cinderella Queen in Corning, New York.
