Formerly of Ottawa, she hosted lier own TV show, and was co-host of "100 Huntley Street" a Toronto TV program. Mrs. McLaughlin will speak of the three doldrums facing home- makers: dishes, dirt and diapers. Hope MacDonald of the Evangel Pentecostal Church will be guest soloist. Roberts High School Oshawa, on 'Wednesday February 8 at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Lisko, whose most recent venture is The Happy Cooker Cooking School and kitchenware Boutique in Whitby has offered all pro- ceeds from.the Demonstration (admission $2.50) to Durham Region Lung Association, local affiliate of the nation- wide Christmas Seal Organisa- tion. Christmas Seal dollars are spent year round in Dur- ham Region to assist'victims of asthma,4 emphysema, chronic bronchitis and other crippling lung diseases. The evening promises to give ample food for thought, with many novel ideas for home entertaining, door prizes (courtesyJEatons and Simpsons, Oshawa) and free distribution of copies of re- cipes prepared during the evening. UNDERSEA FILMS The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau will be featured at the Whitby Public Library's film nights in February. Feb. 7 there will be films on the coral jungle, the Great Barrier Reef of Australia,and sunken treasurer ships. Feb. 14 there will be films on green sea turtles, squid, and- the vivid colors .and strange shapes of ocean sponges. Feb. 21 there will be films on sharks and whales, and the blue-green depths of the Mexican seas. Feb. 28, the films will feature sea elephants, seals and groupers. All film nights begin at 7 pm. in the library program room, and admission is free.
