United Churcli Saturday. The Whitby Rotary Club and the Towvn's recreation departmnent are working on a joint project to develop Centennial Park. Landscape architects have been invited to submit propo- sais for the development of the park, a major comrnunity project to be paid for by the Rotary Club. Students learn the job of the town councl Once again, students from Whitby's high schools are participating in a Youth and Civic Administration program, which enables themn to learn the duties of the town councillors and staff. Students ' from Henry Street High School, Anderson Collegiate, Denis O'Connor High School and the Ontario Ladies' College are taking part in the program. For the next two months the students will be working closely with their counter- parts on the council and staff, learning their various func- tions. On May 30 at 8 p.m. they will hold a mock counicil meeting in the municipal building.
