Redwing Conirng events Cont' SANTA CLAUS PARADÈ Whitby's Santa CPs Parade is only a month away, andthe Whitby Jaycees wtio are organizing the parade, are looking for entries. Mike Burgess, who is in charge of organizing the floats has sent letters out to ail local service clubs andorganiztiîons inviting them to enter. Any organizations missed can notify Mr. Burgess of their intentions by calling him at 668-6111. The Santa Clatis Parade, sponsored by the Town of Whitby, will be held Dec. 4, starting at Denis- O'Connor High School at 10 a.ni., and finishing at Brock and Gilbert Streets. As in past years, the route will follow Cochrane Street to Dundas, Dundas to Brock to Gilbert. As msal, prizes will be awarded in different classifi- cations, and there is no charge for entries. Mr. Burgess says the Jaycees are expecting to get some riew entries this year in the formi of floats and possibly some personalities easily recognizable to inost people. Business and commercial entries arc~ encouraged, pro- viding thecy are ini keeping vi th the Christ mnas themne. Any one organization wishing to enter the Santa Clauis Parade is asked to con- tact Mr. Burgess as soon as possible and inform him of wvhat formn their entry wvill take. ST. Howard, Moderator of The United Church of Canada, wilI -be special guest speaker at St. Mark's United Church, Whitby, on Sunday at 1l a.m. when the congregation will celebrate their 1 Sth Anni- versary.
