The Ontario Humane Society is holding an Exhibi- tion of the Wildlife Photo- graphy of Peter Bissett in the ManuLife Centre on Bloor Street, Toronto for approximately two weeks, commencing October 28th. Peter Bissett was recently namied "Best Photographer in Canada" by the Toronto Camiera Club. Originally fromi England, where lie be- came known as a Formula motor racing car driver, hie ernigrated to Toronto about eighit years ago. Sinice coming to Canada hie las travelled al] over north Amierica capturing wvldlife on film. Thiis Exhibition will be Bissett's first major public sliowing.- The phiotographis will be offered for sale to the public and a part of the pro- ceeds will be donated to the Ontario Humane Society for animal welfare work. These photographs will appeal to Al loyers of nature, since a wide range of wildlit'e is covered. The studies include birds (song and preda- tory), mammals, and scenic shots. The wildlife and country- side of Canada are well repre- sented and some of the photo- graphs are of Canadian sun- sets, wild "corners", winter scenes and, of course, indigen- ous birds and animais. The Humane Society hopes that as many as possible will ta ke this opportunity to view the work of thi s most talented phiotographier.
