Haif-hour concerts are being held at 8:30, p.m. and 10 p.m., featuring songs from the Singers' recent spring show at Iroquois Park. The concerts are being held Monda), through Saturday. The Ministry of Com- munications and the Cana dian Radio-televîsion and Tele- communications Commission recently gave the green lighit to pay TV at the Canadian Cable Television Association convention in Toronto. llowever, says Mr. MeWade, that is only the first in a number of steps which will bring pay TV to the area. The CRTC, the regulatory body for the country's elec- tronie media, will accept suggestions concerniflg the introduction of pay TV until September of this year. Band concert The Whitby Brass Band will present a concert on the lawn at the back entrance of the Whitby Public Library on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The library is at 405 Dundas Street West.
